Photography was my first love. Before I started Story Stroll and began my career as a filmmaker, I was obsessed with photographing the world.
Patrick's work moves between photography, documentary film, writing, and long-form storytelling, but the impulse behind it is consistent: pay attention, stay curious, and make something that helps another person see a place, person, or experience differently.
What began with making photographs grew naturally into a broader practice of documenting people and places. Still photographs became films. Films became documentary series. Writing became another way to follow ideas that needed more room than a frame could provide.
Photography has never been about money, it's my passion.

Patrick was captured photographs for tourism departments, government organizations, academic institutions, and global industry leaders.
Patrick works across those forms rather than treating them as separate disciplines. Sometimes a place needs a photograph. Sometimes a person needs ten minutes of film. Sometimes an idea needs a page.
From individual work to a story-first studio.
Patrick founded Story Stroll to build larger stories with organizations, institutions, and communities. The studio grew from the same documentary approach found in his personal work: listen first, find what is actually interesting, and build from what is discovered.
Patrick Wine Images is the photographic and publishing side of that practice—a home for the archive, ongoing series, finite editions, films, essays, prose, and other work made along the way.

Patrick now lives in Maine where he runs his original and commercial storytelling studio Story Stroll. While he resides in the spectacular state of Maine, where he constantly explores the rugged coastlines and breathtaking inland wilderness, he travels to all parts of the globe to capture stories; one frame at a time.
